RACER Trust Property Marketing and Sales Team to Participate in 2018 SelectUSA Investment Summit

RACER Trust today announced that three members of its property marketing and sales team — Redevelopment Manager Bruce Rasher, Deputy Redevelopment Manager Patricia Spitzley, and Transaction Manager Steven Black — will participate in this week’s annual SelectUSA Investment Summit near Washington, D.C., the premier national event to promote and facilitate job-creating business investment in the United States and raise awareness of the critical role that foreign direct investment plays in the U.S. economy.

This is the fourth consecutive year for the summit, and the fifth overall. RACER Trust has participated in each, showcasing its portfolio of available commercial and industrial properties and, along with state and local economic development organization partners, assisting in the promotion of RACER Trust communities.

“The SelectUSA Investment Summit is a great opportunity to get in front of global business leaders and site selectors and demonstrate the value of purchasing a RACER Trust property and investing in RACER Trust communities,” said Elliott P. Laws, of EPLET, LLC, administrative trustee of RACER Trust. “Foreign direct investment creates thousands of jobs and billions of dollars in annual in economic impact in the United States, and with development-ready properties across the northern tier of the Midwest and Northeast, RACER Trust is well-positioned to capture significant investments that will create lasting benefits both for the buyer and for our communities.”

For the fourth consecutive year, RACER Trust is proud to sponsor an evening reception bringing together a delegation of Canadian business leaders and economic development leaders from RACER Trust states and communities. This year’s reception is scheduled to take place Wednesday evening at the Embassy of Canada in Washington.

The SelectUSA Investment Summit will take place Wednesday through Friday at the Gaylord National Resort and Convention Center in National Harbor, Md.

RACER Trust will have a display booth in the exhibition hall of the summit. Summit attendees are encouraged to visit RACER Trust at Booth 454 during the summit.

About RACER Trust: RACER (Revitalizing Auto Communities Environmental Response) Trust was created to clean up and position for redevelopment properties and other facilities owned by the former General Motors Corp. before its 2009 bankruptcy. RACER is one of the largest holders of industrial property in the United States, and when it was formed was the largest environmental response and remediation trust in U.S. history. When the Trust was formed, it owned properties at 89 locations in 14 states, principally in the Midwest and Northeast. The Trust was created by a settlement agreement in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court between the U.S. Government, the 14 states where the former GM properties are located, and the St. Regis Mohawk Tribe, which owns land adjoining one of the properties in Upstate New York.
