RACER Trust Attending ICSC RECon, the World’s Largest Event for Retail Real Estate Professionals

RACER Trust today announced that its transaction manager, Steven Black, will participate in the 2018 International Council of Shopping Centers Conference (ICSC RECon) in Las Vegas, the largest gathering of retail real estate professionals in the world.

More than 37,000 real estate professionals from around the world are expected at the conference, which takes place May 20-23. The conference, which RACER has taken part in each year since 2012, is an unparalleled opportunity for RACER to promote investment opportunities at RACER’s properties to commercial and retail buyers, developers and end users, as well as to stay abreast of market strategy, trends and innovations in commercial real estate.

Several former RACER Trust properties have been purchased or are under contract for mixed-use development that includes retail and other commercial development components, including what is now the M1 Concourse in Pontiac, Mich., the former Indianapolis Stamping Plant property in Indiana and the former Delphi Trenton property in Ewing Township, N.J.

“RACER Trust’s mission is to maximize the redevelopment potential of each of our properties, based on location and other factors,” said Elliott P. Laws, of EPLET, LLC, administrative trustee of RACER Trust. “Increasingly, we are entertaining exciting proposals for projects that involve some elements of retail and other creative commercial development. We want to be sure our properties and our communities are as visible as possible to the individuals and institutions who are making these investment decisions.”

“ICSC RECon has provided some great leads for RACER Trust, and our participation has provided us with knowledge and insights that help us carry out our redevelopment mission for the benefit of our communities,” Mr. Black said. “We look forward to what is certain to be a busy and productive week.”
