Encompassing 150.97 acres along the Saginaw River, the former one-million-square-foot manufacturing building's slab remains on this property, zoned M-2, General Industrial. The property is bordered on the west by a former Delphi facility, and by the Greenpoint landfill to the south. Commercial, residential and industrial properties lie to the north, with the river running along the eastern boundary.

Environmental Progress

Current environmental remediation efforts are focused on LNAPL evaluation and remediation in a small portion of the former plant; removal of portions of the remaining concrete slab that contain PCBs; groundwater monitoring; and soil restrictions. A deed restriction is expected on the property, prohibiting residential use at the property, identifying the areas where exposure barriers need to be maintained, requiring proper management of contaminated soil and prohibiting the use of groundwater for potable purposes. Work is being performed under Part 201 under the oversight of MDEQ.
