Environmental Progress

Cleanup work was conducted at the site in 2007 to address diesel fuel released from an above-ground storage tank. A Phase II Environmental Site Assessment was performed and included the collection of soil samples that showed low levels of total petroleum hydrocarbons diesel-range (TPHd) organics. Further soil sampling was conducted in 2012 and 2013 along with groundwater sampling as part of the RCRA Facility Investigation (RFI). Results indicated limited impact to soil and groundwater at the site. The MDEQ has reviewed all available data and RACER will continue to work with MDEQ to address any comments on future groundwater monitoring results as well as through the corrective measures evaluation and selection process. Corrective measures could involve deed restrictions that prohibit residential use of the site and potable use of site groundwater and require proper soil management.
