This former GM transmission plant was sold in May 2011 to an Ohio-based development firm, 54 Chevy LLC (a reference to the property’s address at 5400 Chevrolet Boulevard). 54 Chevy LLC plans to redevelop the 58-acre facility to attract manufacturing jobs to the community.
Environmental Progress
A thorough environmental evaluation of the property is being performed, with the oversight and approval of the Ohio Department of Development and Ohio Environmental Protection Agency. This will include additional investigations of site soils and groundwater.
