Environmental Progress
Remedial investigations are underway to evaluate historic impacts to soil and groundwater at the site. In addition, limited soil removal has been completed in several areas as interim measures. TCE, PCBs, PNAs and several metals have been identified in soils at several areas of the site above applicable regulatory criteria. TCE is the primary groundwater contaminant. Some PCE (perchloroethylene) has been found to be migrating onto the site. Deed restrictions will be one component of a comprehensive remedial strategy for the site. Work is being performed under Part 201 under the oversight of MDEQ.
